Our Sport

Table tennis is a lifelong sport that can be played right up to ones older years. It's never too late to start and you won't have to quit just because you are getting too old for the physicality of it as it is gentle on the body. Table tennis can also be a quick and exciting, competitive sport using plenty of energy; increasing reaction time, coordination, and balance. This social and engaging sport helps develop and maintain focus for some people who may find other, more physical sports challenging. It is therefore a sport ideal for people with varied levels of learning abilities.

The GTTA endeavours to work with the GSLA and schools and other representatives of the community to make Table Tennis a more popular sport in Gibraltar. In general, to encourage everyone to try their hand at Table Tennis, either for healthy recreation or, who knows? Perhaps we can find a future champion!
